A picture, a year, and two sentences.
bird poops on plum branch
What do you think about this idea which I know I have already mentioned three times but it's slowly getting somewhere.  I send out an email to all of my friends, current list is about 170 people long, requesting the following information: a high resolution photo of you within the last year, when and how we met, and something cool we did together.  30 words max for each question.  If there was a 7"x7" page dedicated to our friendship, would these be interesting things to list?  Or can you think of a better question or two?  The book will probably be a hundred pages or so with one friend per page and some other things that I come up with for it.  enmicropedias is helping me design it, and I like what we've got so far.  A mixture of Wes Anderson and Paul Smith.

I think that it is a good idea. Are you thinking about this having an online component?

what if people wanted to write, for example, a poem about how you met them or an adventure you had, or drew a picture? or wanted to include a quote or saying that reminds them of you or that perhaps came out of a conversation (drunken or otherwise) with you - could that be an option? you know, for people who are more creative than i am. heh.

I'm on board... although my story might be a little less interesting than the rest.

Unless I can be... errr... creative!

i love this idea. and i love that it's an actual book - a thing you can hold - as opposed to yet another in a line of social networky online things.

It's like a yearbook for adults in arrested development.

Drunk adults.

LOVE it! sounds wonderful...
