"Unified Theory of Enjoyable Living" updated for my 32nd year

The theme of my 30th birthday, and the following year, was "Higher highs and lower lows".

The theme of my 31st birthday, and the following year, was "Double down". Double down on love, on friends, and on my projects.

This year, I feel like I should shift the focus a bit. Not so much about building building building, and more about enjoying what has been built and what happens to exist. This is a big deal for me cause I almost always feel like I'm not doing enough. That I have to keep being more ambitious, thinking bigger, not getting too lax lest I fall into a rut, etc.

Just as a reminder to myself, I'm gonna re-post my "unified theory of enjoyable living" which I started putting together in January of 2007 and have been adding to and editing since then:

I need to get better at 21. I often wish I could hit the undo button on things and then stew about it afterwards. It just wastes time and gets me nowhere...

So what's this year's slogan? Or are you going to be so relaxed that you don't even NEED a slogan? Maybe it can be "go slogan-less."

I am interested to see how you fare with this new focus. I think it's more ambitious than your other ones, actually. It means that you trust yourself more than you did before. I don't trust myself enough to relax, yet.


It's totally more ambitious... no slogan??? I live for slogans. It's funny, I've been trying to become more ambitious about being less ambitious, and to start competitions where the least competitive person wins. What's wrong with me? :)

Um, obviously, you're becoming more Christlike. . . The last shall be first, etc. etc.

So what IS your slogan? The press is waiting!

I think my new slogan is "No problem!" I used that slogan in my head during slow weights yesterday and it helped a lot. Arms really hurting? No problem! Can't lift any more? No problem!

Meaning, it's nothing to stress about. Everything to relax about.

Which I really need today because I'm stressing about everything and not even sure what everything is.
